Our Story

We are a family whose lives were forever changed by the love and loss of our daughter, Remi.

After years of infertility, Remi was our miracle, our little blessing who filled our hearts with hope, joy, and dreams for the future. At 41 weeks pregnant, our world changed forever. What should have been one of the happiest days of our lives became the most heartbreaking.

Remi entered this world as a fighter. Our warrior girl fought bravely for 14 hours, showing us a strength far beyond her tiny body. Though her time with us was far too short, the love she gave and the impact she made will last a lifetime.

In the midst of unimaginable grief, we were surrounded by an outpouring of love and support from our family, friends, and community. One of the most meaningful gifts I received was a keepsake box filled with precious reminders of our Remi. During a time when I felt I had lost everything, it gave me something tangible to hold onto and a way to honor and remember my daughter. It meant more to me than words can express.

That gift inspired the creation of Remi’s Luz Foundation.

“Luz,” meaning light, reflects the light Remi continues to shine in our lives. Through this foundation, we provide keepsake boxes, support, resources, and awareness for families experiencing pregnancy and infant loss. Our goal is to ensure that no parent, and especially no mother, ever feels alone in her grief.

We believe every baby, no matter how brief their time on earth, deserves to be remembered, celebrated, and honored.

Through Remi’s legacy, we hope to be a light for grieving families, offering the same love, comfort, and support that carried us through our darkest days.
